    Question: What would be proper treatment for a 93-year-old woman who suffers from extreme anxiety about having been robbed 6 years ago? Since the robbery she has been hiding everything in her household from plain view--including food, clothing, hearing aids, teeth, eating utensils, check book, personal telephone book, etc. She wraps up everything in newspaper, hides it behind furniture, under beds, inside dishwasher and washer/dryer, oven, freezer, then forgets where she hid everything...    Dr. Pies' Answer

    Question: There has been a rise of maid abuse cases (i.e., servants who are ill-treated) in certain countries around the world. What is it in the psychology of humans that make us turn violent against these servants? Why do people who appear calm suddenly lose control of themselves even when the servant commits a minor mistake such as purchasing the wrong brand of bread?    Dr. Pies' Answer

    Question: I'm a preschool director with a 4-year-old who will not talk. In 11 years of working with children I've never seen a child react like this. He's been coming to our school for 5 months and has only muttered good-bye when pushed to do so by his parents.    Dr. Pies' Answer
